Held At Manka’s Inverness Lodge, Inverness, California.
Chefs Margaret Grade and Daniel De Long prepare the freshest feasts, starting with dinner on Monday evening and ending with their famous crab dinner on Thursday. Manka’s has been featured in Condé Nast, Travel & Leisure the LA Times, London Times, Coastal Living and has a Four Star Rating from the San Francisco Examiner.
Manka’s Lodge is located near the Pacific Ocean & can have brisk weather. Bring woolies and boots for your outdoor adventures.
The Plan: arrive Monday to get tucked in and attend a light supper with a chance to meet everyone. Tuesday morning will start with main presentations. Afternoons include breakout groups and Show & Tell. Lunch each day at the Boathouse. Dinner on Thursday. Be prepared for a knitters’ Scrabble game with Shirley Grade.

Cooking for Knitters – In a break from the tradition of “No Knitters in Kitchen”, Manka’s chefs will offer breakout classes to those who register early.
Knitting for Children – Shirl “The Pearl” has six decades experience teaching children (grandchildren & Great-grandchildren). Her knit shop started fifty years ago – she carried Elizabeth Zimmerman’s yarns and products.

Transportation to Inverness
- Fly into San Francisco Airport.
- Motor North.
- After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, drive about 8.5 miles to the San Anselmo / Sir Francis Drake Boulevard West Exit.
- Travel west for 21 miles until you come to a ‘T’.
- Turn right (North) onto Coastal Route One.
- Go 2 miles to Sir Francis Drake, turn left and travel 3 miles to the town of Inverness.
- One and 1/2 blocks past the center of town, turn left onto Argyle.
- Up the steep hill on the right is the Lodge.
- Look for the Airstream Office.
Retreat fee of $675 includes workshop fee, supper Monday evening, lunch each day, and dinner on Thursday evening.
Breakfast is included for those lodging at Manka’s.
